Types of Poker Hands

Poker

If you’ve ever played Poker, you’ve probably heard of the four types of hands you can make. Each of them has a unique set of rules, but they all have a similar goal: to win the pot. The first type of hand is called a straight, and it consists of two pairs of cards with the same suit. Two consecutive pairs win the pot if both of them have the same value. If you have three of a kind, your hand wins if the higher card beats the lowest.

Another type of poker is called draw poker. Each player gets five cards, and each player can discard some of them. When a player reaches a certain amount of money with his or her hand, he or she may draw another five cards. This process repeats for each player until the game is over. The winner of the game is the person with the highest hand, so the goal of the game is to beat your opponents. However, it is possible to get a better hand than you have when you play draw poker.

Pairs: Pairs can be formed by having two cards of equal rank. If you have a pair and three other cards of different ranks, you have an odd-one. This means you’ll have to compare the two pairs to see which one is better. Usually, the higher pair wins. For example, a hand with jacks beats a hand with a 10-10-9-8-A-Q-J. If both of the pairs are equal, then the lower pair wins.
